E.l.f
I had heard a lot about Elf cosmetics and how good they were through youtube and blogs! I never realised how affordable it was and if I had of I would have reached for it sooner! Once I had chosen everything I wanted it only totalled up to around £25 which I think is an absolute bargain and I cant wait to try my new products out..!
So when I first opened the box it looked a little like this! At first I was a little annoyed at the shreds of paper inside the box, purely because they were leaving bits of dust over the products. I guess its not so bad as you can easily brush them off but It just didnt make it look as good as it could have.
The first thing I pulled out of the box was this cream blush! The packaging Im aware does look slightly damaged but the product itself was fine. So it doesn't really bother me. (please excuse my unpainted nails er)
The blush I brought is a dark pink with a purple tone Id say, It is meant to be a cream formula however it doesn't feel\look like one at all! Its very sheer, which I prefer my blushes to be, but I think it could be buildable with several applications. Its a really pretty colour so suitable for Spring\Summer, I look forward to trying this out!
The packaging for this blush is absolutely gorgeous for the price especially! It looks a lot smaller in the photos Ive attached but it was about the size of my palm..(however my palm probably is quite small) The lid twists of quite easily and there is a white cap which I imagine is just to protect the product, that comes out very easily too and if you dont like it, just throw it away!
I got three brushes from E.l.f because I've wanted to try them out for some time, first impressions are very mixed as the bristles don't seem strong and there are already a few loose but I have heard so many good things about them so I wont judge the brush by its appearance!
Both these brushes have very thin fibres, they are similarly separated however the fibres on the smaller brush are slightly more formed together. They are v. alike to the Real Techniques Duo-Fibre brushes , by the way they look and feel! Apologies for the bad quality in these photos they were taken earlier in the light and I didn't check them before, the right one is a bit blurry.
I've needed a new one of these for a while after my real techniques lash&brow comb broke! I thought at just £2.50 I should try it out anyway as the price is amazing. It is one of the generic "bamboo" type brushes so its going to be slightly cheaper than most others. Hopefully this will be a better option as to a spooly because Ive been using one of those for a while and its just not good!:')
This palette is just something Ive had my eye on for a while, and being reduced from £15 to just £5 I couldn't say no! It has 100 different eyeshadow colours in from light to dark. Its suitable for all year round and the colours look very pigmented! There are matte, shimmer and marble colours in the palette so it could most likely please everyone! There is a small mirror at the top with two flat shadow brushes inside. Im guessing the brushes aren't used much as they are just very small typical "shadow" brushes if you know what I mean!? But at least that option is there!
The only thing that has been disappointing with the palette so far is that the colours don't have names or numbers on them. This can be annoying for some because its hard to tell people which colour has been used. You could number label the colours your self using stickers or a marker pen, but I just think it would have been easier if Elf had done this for us!
At the moment I've been really liking cover sticks! I've been using Maybelline's Cover Stick which has been great on my skin! But when I saw this for such a good price I thought I could try out a new one! I used a tiny bit on my hand and it seems to suit my skin colour really well! (This doesn't usually happen with online makeup shopping woaah) It has a very medium coverage however it feels light and smooth on my skin, not at all thick.
This Is my last elf product! I saw this in the clearance section for just £1.95 and couldn't help my self, I seem to buy so many lip glosses and Im really not sure why..But no harm done when its super affordable! I'll probably give this to my Mum as she loves using lip glosses:)
Thank you for reading this blog! Im trying to sort out all my older blogs at the moment. Im aware they have many errors and I'm slowly fixing them, but please ignore the faults on my other posts for now. Im so sorry, just crap at all this blogging cray cray X
